Caroline Ross is a Senior Advisor to Rebuild Local News and the founder of Valentin Company, a strategy and advisory practice focused on strengthening the financial and operational foundations of community-serving media. Her work centers on catalytic capital strategies, shared infrastructure, and organizational models that support the long-term sustainability of local news organizations.
Previously, Ross served as Chief Operating Officer at the National Trust for Local News, where she helped lead the acquisition and transition of local newspapers into nonprofit ownership and built national operational infrastructure to support community-based newsrooms. She has also held senior strategy and operations roles across the nonprofit, philanthropic, and civic innovation sectors, working with funders, operators, and policymakers to advance new approaches to strengthening the social sector.
