Caroline Ross is the Chief Operating Officer at Public Media Company, where she helps lead strategy and operations for initiatives that strengthen nonprofit, mission-driven media organizations across the United States.
Ross is an operations and strategy leader with more than fifteen years of experience working across media, philanthropy, public policy, and social impact. She has extensive experience in organizational design, catalytic capital, cross-sector partnerships, and scaling mission-driven organizations through periods of growth and transition. In addition to her role at Public Media Company, she is the founder of Valentin Company, an advisory practice that supports funders, intermediaries, and media organizations working to strengthen civic and community information ecosystems.
Previously, Ross served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief of Staff at the National Trust for Local News, where she helped lead the acquisition and transition of local newspapers into nonprofit ownership and built shared operational infrastructure to support community-based newsrooms across the country.
